All compnaies want a well trained staff. Most managers would agree that an entry level certification for workers/technicians is very important. After all, these employees represent your company. They can create a great reputation for your company, but if not properly trained, can also create liability problems. Let the IIAQC help prepare your staff in the IAQ field.

• Certification sets those with

• Because public recognition of

   move your business forward
• It documents skills and confirms
   compe- tency
• Enables better job performance
• Sets you apart as an expert in the field

The intent of certification is to inform the public that individuals who have achieved certification have demonstrated a particular degree of knowledge and skill. One outcome of professional certification is the ability to distinguish between those who have demonstrated competency and those who have not. A company or organization that can demonstrate this level of competency can achieve the IAQ Master Certified™ status and certainly distinguish themselves and enhance their reputation and public image.

The criteria for being designated IAQ Master Certified is the majority of personnel in an organization who are in contact with customers or clients on IAQ issues must be certified by either the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), the American Indoor Air Quality Council (AIAQC), or the International Indoor Air Quality Commission (IIAQC). The organization must also have a written protocol in place that encourages the use of only certified personnel when dealing with clients on matters involving IAQ issues.

Because of the importance IAQ knowledge plays in the representation of IAQ services and products, it is essential that those involved in these areas have a current certification from an IAQ certifying organization/agency that validates professional skills and knowledge. This is particularly true for those involved in HVAC work, dealers, distributors, or representatives of indoor air quality products. The IAQ industry simply has too many poorly trained people making recommendations and selling inappropriate products. The IAQ Master Certification program is a strategic step of the I.I.A.Q.C.’s initiative and theme - Raising the Standards
